During this hands-on workshop, you’ll have expert assistance to help you make your Yelp business page stand out. Learn best practices for answering poor reviews, and tips for responding to great reviews. Laptops or internet enabled tablets required. Before attending, participants must register for a Yelp business account and bring their Yelp login information with them. Plus, have the following ready for review and editing: MS Word file with list of specialties, 500 word description about your business, personal bio for the business owner, 5-8 good quality digital photos of the business owner, pest control staff in action,  office staff, business exterior, business vehicles, pests, and of course, a digital file of your logo! Note: This is NOT a Yelp advertising workshop.

Developing a Digital Age Device Policy for Your Company

As part of their responsibilities, human resources managers are required to develop policy and maintain a compliant employee handbook.  They must have a clear grasp of potential issues related to developing policy and implementing policy.  In this session, we will review policies that are a “must” for any employee handbook.  We will also review how to communicate policies to your employees and the importance of applying your polices consistently with your employees.

Facebook 15: Hands-On with Facebook Business Pages

This workshop is designed for participants who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make a meaningful first step toward making social media work for their business. During this session, participants will build a Facebook Business page (or retool and existing page) in 15 minutes (laptops required), as well as send their first update and schedule 15 updates to automatically appear over the next two weeks, gain 15 followers in 15 seconds and leave with a plan to leverage Facebook for business while spending only 15 minutes a day.  (Laptops or internet enabled tablets required. Before attending, participants must register for a personal Facebook account and bring their Facebook login information with them.)
